Wagner returns to Dallas in this stunning season finale with one of opera’s biggest stories! Accused of her brother’s murder, Elsa prays for a way to prove her innocence. In answer, a knight in shining armor appears, ready to save her. He asks one thing in return: never ask his name. Schemes, betrayal, and battles abound, all encompassed in Wagner’s majestic score, including the famed “Bridal Chorus.” The Dallas Opera welcomes the return of acclaimed director Louis Désiré for another exciting production at the Winspear.

Saimir Pirgu returns to Dallas after his stunning performance last season in Carmen, which showcased his “powerfully sinewy tenor” (DALLAS MORNING NEWS). With an “exceptional vocal arsenal at her disposal” (OPERA TODAY), Kathleen O’Mara debuts as Elsa.
