Founded in 2018, YUE Yin has become known for a movement vocabulary that is entirely her own. She calls it FOCO Technique™, a contemporary dance language rooted in Chinese classical and folk traditions and shaped by the layered influences of the immigrant experience.
What stands out most when watching YUE’s work is the sheer density of movement, the shifting dynamics she weaves into each phrase and the incredible magnetic quality of the dancers.
