While adjusting to their new reality, the two embark on a journey through Metro Atlanta to attend their first baseball game together. The story showcases Fortune’s distinctive storytelling and visual artistry. The film has garnered attention as the 2023 winner of the AT&T Presents: Untold Stories award at the Tribeca Festival. David Fortune marked the sixth filmmaker to receive this award winning a $1 million to make this film, year-round mentorship, and a world premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Festival, making this screening a must-see event for film enthusiasts and art lovers alike.

“When it comes to brands getting involved within our community and our cultural space, the first thing I look for is intent. What is the intention that you’re trying to serve our community? How are you trying to uplift the community? How long are you going to be here?” Fortune says, “I’m honored and humbled to tell a story that represents the city of Atlanta and the differently abled community.”

The screening will be followed by a Q&A session with David Fortune and a member of the Tribeca Festival team, where attendees can engage with the director and gain deeper insights into the creative process behind Color Book. This exclusive event is part of the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s ongoing commitment to bringing innovative, thought-provoking, and diverse art to the community.

“AT&T is thrilled to bring David Fortune’s “Color Book” to our Dallas community. Investing in emerging underrepresented filmmakers through AT&T Untold Stories connects all of us to greater possibility.” says Kellyn Smith Kenny, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer, AT&T.
