AT&T Performing Arts Center Brings Immersive Holiday Experience to Annette Strauss Square This November

(DALLAS) – The AT&T Performing Arts Center is excited to bring the ultimate immersive winter holiday experience loved by families across the country to Texas for the first time this holiday season! Beginning November 22, 2024, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex will be able to experience HilltopSecurities CAMP CHRISTMAS a journey through eras of winter holiday celebrations past and present told through extravagant interactive installations. Created by renowned artist Lonnie Hanzon in partnership with the Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) Off-Center, CAMP CHRISTMAS will open at Annette Strauss Square, transforming the venue into a spectacular, over-the-top winter wonderland.

CAMP CHRISTMAS is not just an event—it’s a journey into the fantastical, colorful, and whimsical side of the holiday season. Filling 20,000 square feet of larger-than-life installations, visitors will explore a series of themed holiday rooms, each filled with festive lights, dazzling decorations, and interactive activities for all ages. Whether you’re a lover of classic holiday traditions or more drawn to the quirky and unexpected, this one-of-a-kind event has something for everyone.

  • Camp Christmas Experiences: Patrons are able to choose between 3 ways to experience CAMP CHRISTMAS, as well as a $10 per person add-on experience to meet the big man himself — Santa!
  • Interactive Experiences: Playful, hands-on activities for both kids and adults.
  • Seasonal Treats & Drinks: Enjoy holiday-themed snacks and beverages from Flora Cantina.
  • Photo Opportunities: Instagram-worthy scenes at every turn to capture your holiday memories.

The AT&T Performing Arts Center is committed to making this an experience for all families and values inclusivity and diversity. In this spirit, we will have sensory-friendly timed entry slots throughout the run, as well as a diverse range of Santas representing the various racial and ethnic backgrounds of our community. At all times, Santa speaks English. At certain times, Santa also speaks Spanish and communicates in American Sign Language. Ticketing Information

Tickets for CAMP CHRISTMAS go on sale Friday, October 11 at 10:00AM CST and can be purchased through the AT&T Performing Arts Center website. Patrons can choose between the Classic Camp Christmas, Guided Camp Christmas, and Camp Director Tour experiences. Prices start at $20.00 plus fees, and children under 2 are free. Special family and group packages available through groups@attpac.org.

About Lonnie Hanzon

Lonnie Hanzon is a Colorado-based installation artist, best known in Denver for designing the Evolution of the Ball sculpture at Coors Field, The Wizard’s Chest, and the Clocktower Cabaret, as well as the original Parade of Lights floats. Other major Colorado installations can be seen at Palazzo Verdi, MOA, Marjorie Park, Red Rocks Community College, Denver Pride celebrations and throughout the Kenneth King Performing Arts Center. His national and international work includes large outdoor urban entertainment projects including Houston Zoo Lights, immersive visual merchandising displays and fine art for Neiman Marcus, and large-scale displays and events at Hong Kong’s Pacific Place.
