Total Eclipse of the Arts at the AT&T Performing Arts Center
The Center invites neighbors and community to free once-in-a-generation event featuring music, art, free eclipse viewing glasses
(DALLAS) – Prepare to witness a celestial marvel like never before as the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center hosts Total Eclipse of the Arts on Monday, April 8, 2024 beginning at 11:30 a.m. in Sammons Park. This free event promises an unforgettable experience for families, friends, arts lovers and astronomy aficionados alike.
Before the moon gracefully passes between the sun and the Earth, plunging Dallas into temporary darkness, patrons will be greeted by a whirlwind of activities, including:
• 2,000 pairs of FREE eclipse glasses that will be distributed upon arrival at Sammons Park
• The Center’s Flora Cantina will be open, and its operator G Texas will have a food truck with BBQ and tacos available for purchase.
• Award-winning and locally renowned Reveler’s Hall Band performs at 11:45 a.m.
• Local rising star Corina Grove will take the Sammons Community Stage in front of the Donor Reflecting Pool at 1 p.m.
• Sammons Park becomes the ultimate vantage point to witness this rare phenomenon starting at 1:07 p.m. with eclipse totality at 1:44 p.m.
• Texas native DJ Jaguar will close out the program after the eclipse for guests to socialize and avoid anticipated traffic congestion in downtown.
